Agustin Laveglia completed his Master Degree in Chemical Engineering at the National University of the Centre of the State of Buenos Aires (UNCPBA). His career as researcher started in Argentina at the Research Centre CIFICEN (UNCPBA, CICPBA, CONICET), focusing on the physic-chemical aspects (dissolution, reactivity, new hydration products) of geopolymers and waste materials used mineral additions in alkali-activated ternary cements. In 2021, he joined the WiB Institute as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow within the framework of the SUBLime project, a MSCA European Training network – Innovative Training Network (ETN ITN). His task is to integrate and quantify improvements of a generation of innovative lime-based mortars and plasters provided by the network. He applies advanced LCA methodology, focusing on detailed description of the cradle-to-gate processes and extended novel approaches to predict service life and CO2 capture.
