In the spirit of European cooperation, our institute recently welcomed Mateusz Moj from the Institute of Materials and Construction Process Engineering at Wrocław University of Technology (Poland). The visit took place as part of the “University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering” (Unite!), an association of nine leading technical universities in Europe.

The aim of the exchange was to strengthen cooperation in research. During the visit, overlaps in research were identified and opportunities for cooperation were discussed.

The Unite! Alliance, which includes partners from Finland, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Austria in addition to TU Darmstadt and Wroclaw University of Technology, has set itself the goal of creating a trans-European campus. This should enable students and researchers seamless mobility and an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented education. The visit by the Polish delegation was an important step in bringing this vision to life and driving forward joint projects.
