Associate Professor Irene Palomar and Assistant Professor Javier Puentes, from the Universidad de Alcalá (Spain), carried out a secondment at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito from 3rd of June to 31st of July 2025. Their visit was hosted by Prof. Eva Lantsoght, coordinator of the BEST group from USFQ. During their stay, they presented and discussed with ICV Professors and Academic Support and Chemical Engineering Professor potential applications of bio-based materials in 3D printed architectural systems. These networking activities will provide a collaboration between USFQ and UAH during next year’s secondment of staff within the BEST project.
