Our two instructional videos on the production of precast concrete elements and ready-mix concrete are ready!

The two videos from concrete practice complete our instructional video collection of the event “Construction and Building Materials”.

As part of the HDA's “Student E-Learning Experts” program, our project to create instructional videos for the course “Materials in Civil Engineering” was funded. The last two videos from concrete practice now complete our collection of short explanatory videos on various test methods of fresh and hardened concrete properties, among other things, and successfully conclude our e-learning project.

The aim of the e-learning project was to create teaching videos for our bachelor course “Materials in Civil Engineering”. The videos didactically expand our course offerings and serve to give students a clear understanding of concrete as a material as well as essential testing methods, thus linking the theory learned with practice.

In addition to short explanatory videos on the production of normal concrete and specimens as well as on various testing methods for fresh and hardened concrete properties, we have now added two more videos from concrete practice to our collection. One video shows how precast concrete elements (shaft frames) are produced in the factory and then installed on the construction site in the Albvorland Tunnel. A second video explains how ready-mix concrete is produced in the plant and placed as fresh concrete on the construction site.

At this point, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Marc Zeitler for the great cooperation over the past two years. We would also like to thank the two companies involved, RIB RÖSER Ingenieurbeton and Sehring Beton GmbH & Co. KG and their employees, who made the filming possible.
