1st Experimental Group Meeting Recap 30/01/25
Key Discussions & Next Steps
2025/02/03
The Experimental Group held a productive meeting to discuss reference materials, method exchange, and characterization. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Last Thursday, 30th of January, the Experimental Group held a productive meeting to discuss the organization of reference materials and the inter-laboratory exchange of method know-how and characterization results. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the discussions! Below is an overview of the key points and next steps.
Reference Materials
- To facilitate collaboration and data comparison, we are organizing a set of reference materials. Each PI (or their representative) is requested to enter their estimated material requirements (+/- 10%) in the designated spreadsheet.
Overview of Methods within the SPP
- As discussed during the kick-off meeting in Darmstadt, we aim to create an overview of methods available within the SPP for potential inter-laboratory exchange. To support this effort, we ask each PI or research group to provide their institution's available methods and contacts for inter-laboratory collaboration.
Characterization of Reference Materials
- To streamline characterization efforts, we request participants to indicate their ability to conduct and evaluate specific characterization methods. While final details will depend on the chosen reference materials, we encourage everyone to fill in as much information as possible at this stage.
The next meeting will focus on finalizing reference material selection, distribution, and characterization methods.
Stay tuned for further updates, and we look forward to the next meeting!
